I am a GIS professional with over 13 years of experience, having worked for both engineering firms and local government. My experience ranges from GIS data creation to database administration to web mapping application development.
I reside in Cary, North Carolina with my wife, two daughters, and dog. I moved to the Triangle area after growing up in Connecticut. I am a native of Pittsburgh, PA and a diehard Steelers fan.
Education
Undergraduate
I received my undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University, majoring with a Bachelor of Science in Geography.
Graduate
I currently a masters student at North Carolina State University in the Masters of Geospatial Information Science & Technology. I will be earning my degree at the end of the fall semester of 2014.
Employment
City of Raleigh Raleigh, NC
Senior GIS Developer responsible for web mapping application developement for the City. Rewrote the City and County's flagship property mapping application iMAPS. Also responsible for ArcGIS for Server administration, map service creation, and open source GIS initiative.
WK Dickson Raleigh, NC
GIS Analyst responsible for geodatabase design and management for utility inventory projects for local governments in the Southeast. Also managed the firm's GPS utilities, including mapping and survey grade units. GIS scripting using Python, ArcObjects, and web mapping application development.
ECS Haddam, CT
GIS Analyst responsible for parcel mapping projects for local governments. Also used CAD for design drawings for engineering staff as well as cartographic map design.
